1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using PubCounter, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
PubCounter is a web application designed to help Jehovah's Witnesses congregations manage their publication inventory. The service includes features for counting inventory, generating reports, and managing reorder requests.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Access requires a valid access key provided by a Kingdom Hall administrator
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PubCounter only for:
- Managing publication inventory for your congregation
- Generating reports for legitimate congregation purposes
- Communicating with other authorized users about inventory matters
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
- Share your access credentials with unauthorized individuals
5. Data Accuracy
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory data you enter into PubCounter. While we provide tools like weight-based counting to assist with accuracy, you should verify counts before submitting reports.
6. Intellectual Property
PubCounter is open-source software. The source code is available under the license specified in our GitHub repository. You retain ownership of any data you enter into the system.
7. Disclaimer
PubCounter is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not affiliated with Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PubCounter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may also request account deletion at any time by contacting your Kingdom Hall administrator or us directly.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the application or via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
